There was an announcement a few weeks ago that Black Moth Super Rainbow was going to be on tour with the Flaming Lips. I've seen the 'Lips a few times when they came through town, so I might try and catch this show coming up (see tour dates to see if they are coming to your city).
Black Moth doesn't sound like anything you're used to (they blame the fact that they're isolated in some rural village in Pennsylvania). They kind of remind me a little of MSTRKRFT [W♥M], but a more trippy and psychedelic.
My favorite song off of their latest release, Dandelion Gum, is "Jump into My Mouth and Breathe the Stardust". Entire lyrics:
Rain falls home
Stars light somewhere
Rain falls below
And find our way home
At least that's what I think he's saying. There aren't many lyrics on this album, so that was a treat. Anytime that vocals are required, they are put through a vocoder to disguise his voice.
