Is it me or the name Tullycraft and Tollefson sounds too similiar?
Anyway, they announced that they are going to be playing at Subterranean (2011 W North Ave) in Chicago on Friday, Feb 23rd w/ Apples in Stereo and Casper and the Cookies. I'll probably won't catch it because I live too far (unless someone here wants to do a road trip).
You can download this song (as well as other songs) off their website, so go there now.
Here are the lyrics (originally transcribed by me, and then corrected by Tullycraft):
Did you mean what you said when you told me you missed us?
Without reservation without plans for Christmas?
The first part was right, the rest wasn't true
Same goes for me and the same goes for youPacked my things for the month but it's not necessary
I told you I'd stay but it's just temporary
Like Swastika Girls who fell back on their looks
We relied on their tricks and their recycled hooksDid you want a response or just someone to edit ?
It's not what you said it's the way that you said it.
Like the Longshoreman's daughter who misspelled her name
Found three chords of brilliance and rode them to fame all alonePep up the formula tonight
You're not obliged to do us favors
Disenchanted hearts unite
When you and I were Candy RaversKhrushchev's Ekronoplan it failed
Those weeks in August never seemed fair
Our love was left to sink or sail
You kept the summer blonde from your hairA little time is all I need
A disco Blood Bath for the ages
The patience left to let it bleed
And a quill to fill the pagesSide streets set ablaze and all roads lead to maybe
Sometimes I think about those days
Sometimes I wish we'd kept the baby
I don't know how things could've changedOur days in Kansas wouldn't last
I never learned the K.U. fight song
Exchanging poisons from the past
I hadn't heard from you in so longAnd if the moonlight kills the flame
with all the moments we were meant to
you know I'll tell the world your name
I couldn't let the world forget youThings were so much easier back in 1993
I love you for the first time, on that day.
