We took a long drive to check out the Summer Sound+Vision show at Valley Creek Mall in Woodbury. These free S+V show takes place three times annually, in the Spring, Summer, and Fall… which means the next Fall show will be on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
Compared to the Fall show we attend in November 2018, this Summer show seemed smaller with less dealers. There were a variety of dealers lined along the indoor mall’s long hallway, selling everything from vinyls, CDs, Beatles-merch, toys (used and new), Funko, comic books, original comic art (Mighty Pegasus Art), and movies (new and used).
The main draw for us were the free stuff. I know they had more stuff available for free, but these are the ones we spotted: free movie passes to Hobbs & Shaw (Fast and Furious series), free passes to Good Boys, Mugs, Spider-Man: Far from Home bags, and four or five free T-Shirts (we picked up a Pacific Rim shirt). The free entry and free promotional items made the trip worth it for us.
Also, if you’re ever in the Woodbury area, they also recently opened up the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, so it might be a fun-filled day event. The Alamo recently hosted a Spider-Man: Far From Home Pop-Up Event (featuring Sound+Vision, Mondo Exclusive Pint Glass, and artists Dave Wheeler and Gordon Purcell) to promote the film.
