Boise’s
Built to Spill is back on a long 2019 tour… stopping by First Avenue’s main room on June 26. The band’s last album called
Untethered Moon came out in 2015 via Warner Bros. Records.
Minneapolis-based indie rock trio
Porcupine (which includes Hüsker Dü bass-player Greg Norton), with
Orua and
Clarke And The Himselfs to open.
We saw Porcupine in
March 2019 and wrote, “Evolving forward from a late ‘80s/‘90s indie-rock sound of Swervedriver meets QOTSA, the trio is out in support of latest six-song record, What You’ve Heard Isn’t Real (on Dead Broke Rekerds/DC-Jam) and recent lead single, ‘Lifetime’.”

The upcoming
Go Fest 2019 show will be taking place at the Cabooze Outdoor Plaza. Note the start time of 5pm (the show will end before 11pm).
The main headliners are
Catfish and the Bottlemen and multi-platinum selling rock band
X Ambassadors, with
Wild Belle (Chicago-born / Los Angeles-based Natalie and Elliot Bergman) and singer/songwriter
Allan Rayman for support.
The last time we saw Catfish and the Bottlemen, in
June 2016, we said, “It was only a year ago when we saw the indie rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen (Ryan "Van" McCann; Johnny “Bondy” Bond; Benji Blakeway; “Sideshow” Bob Hall) at the smaller 7th Street Entry in February 2015 and then upgraded to Varsity Theater in June ... now that they’re better known, they’ve packed the mainroom of over 2,000 fans... a massive difference than their first appearance of a 250-capacity venue.”
