Another day, and another death announcement - this time for The Cars singer/songwriter Ric Ocasek.
According to Yahoo, the autopsy report said that Ocasek died of cardiovascular disease at the age of 75.
As you know, The Cars are most famous for their song “You Might Think” … which won them Video of the Year at the MTV Music Awards in 1984. Their self-titled debut album sold six million copies.
Also, Clutch’s keyboardist Mick Schauer had also recently died. Their Facebook account wrote, “We are saddened to hear the news of Mick Schauer’s passing. Mick was an incredible talent and he will be missed. His contribution to the albums Robot Hive Exodus and From Beale Street to Oblivion brought a new sound to the band at a time when the band sought to stretch into new territory. Mick helped us to achieve those goals and more. He was also a powerful force at our live shows. His natural ability was unmatched and his love for the music made us all play better. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to make music with you Mick!”
