We're only starting December, but already there are a few notable deaths.
Micky Fitz, the frontman for the English Oi! band The Business (not to be confused with J.Roddy Walston and the Business), has died of cancer in December 1, 2016.
The band’s official statement:
While the band never made it in America (let’s face it, Oi! is a very extremely British thing), their song ‘England 5 - Germany 1’ appeared in the teen comedy film Euro Trip.
Also, just in, Australian doo-wop rock Daddy Cool’s bassist, singer Wayne Duncan has passed away (December 4th, 2016). This is particularly gutting because their lead guitarist Ross Hannaford also recently passed away earlier in March 8, 2016.

As you may have already heard, Micky passed away yesterday morning after a long battle with cancer.
Micky was a man who spoke his mind - he was always quick with a joke and three steps ahead of you in a conversation. He was also one of the best mates you could ask for.
Everybody you speak to in the punk scene has their own Micky Fitz story, some of them more flattering than others as Mick didn’t pull any punches. He didn’t care what anybody thought of him and he always did things his own way. That is the thing about true characters - they have rough edges, they don’t fit into any box and they can be near impossible to deal with from time to time, but that’s what makes them so unique, it’s what makes them iconic, it’s what makes them special.
There will never be another Micky Fitz.
Our thoughts are with Mick’s family at this time, especially Kim and Jamie who have always been by his side through thick and thin.
Finally thank you to Micky, for being relentlessly Micky Fitz, much loved and much missed.

It is with the deepest regret that Daddy Cool announce the passing this morning of our wonderful friend and bass player Wayne Duncan at 72 after a short illness. Our condolences to his partner Anne and his daughters Catherine and Justine who have requested privacy at this time. R.I.P. brother Wayne.
