The SF date marked the end of Ash’s mini-2018 USA tour. Opening up the San Francisco show was Veers (stylized as VEERS), from Los Angeles. The group features Andrew James as singer/guitarist, Spencer Evan Schuck on guitars, Nick Lanata on bass, Jef Pauly on drums, and Sean Brennan on keys. Ash’s seventh studio album Islands came out May 18 on Infectious Music/BMG Records. The album is the first since 2015’s Kablammo! The trio (singer/guitarist Tim Wheeler, bassist/synth Mark Hamilton, and drummer Rick McMurray) will resume touring on October 16 at Leadmill in Sheffield.
