Only two days into February and we already have two names to add to our ever-expanding musician death list of 2016!
The most terrifying death so far is the murder of Jim Reeves, of the German pop trio Sqeezer (who had two top 20 German hit singles in the late 90s). He was 47.
Since they were not known in the USA, most of the news reporting were written in Germany, and according to morgenpost.de, Reeves’ body was found at a hostel at Stuttgarter Platz on Monday morning (he was likely killed on Sunday night or earlier). Autopsy revealed blunt force to the head.
The second death of February is Jon Bunch, frontman for ’90s emo band Sense Field and former singer for Further Seems Forever. He was 45.
Revelation Records announced the news via Twitter, but without cause of death.
According to his family, they think he died Monday morning:

“With broken hearts and so much difficulty, we write these words to all of you who love Jon. He is no longer with us now. We think his life here ended early morning, Feb. 1, 2016, but it is uncertain at this time. Our love, his family.”

The official statement from Bunch’s partner, Angelique Flores, reads:
"Earlier this week we lost an amazing person. Jon was a kind, thoughtful, sensitive man who made time for everyone and made a huge impact on many lives. For reasons still unknown to us at this time, his life was cut short at age 45. I am still in shock and devastated. My heart aches over his loss, and he leaves a massive void not only in my life but also in the lives of his family, friends and fans. I appreciate the outpouring of support, love, stories, pictures and videos shared that show the fun-loving, sweet and talented person he was. His heart and personality was as big as his 6’6” frame. I will notify everyone of the services once they are scheduled. His friends and I are planning a tribute show to honor this incredible man. Jonathan, you are an angel in heaven now. I miss you immensely tonight and forever."
A GoFundMe was setup to help raise money for Jon's 12-year old son, Jack, and the family's funeral expenses. A portion of the proceeds may also be allocated to an organization that fights for the protection and safety of children, a cause important to Jon.
