Local Step Rockets’ last stop/homecoming show on their Future Nature EP tour will be at the 7th Street Entry next Saturday, April 16th. Their single “Kisser” went viral with over 5.6 million plays on Spotify (#1 on the Hype Machine charts).

Graveyard Club and Denny (not to be confused with Denny’s) to open the show.

Portland’s Marisa Anderson, who previously worked with Beth Ditto and Sharon Van Etten, is touring in advance of her forthcoming Into The Light (available June 24th, 2016).

The Eagles Club has an identity problem, it’s officially known as “Fraternal Order Of Eagles”, but sometime the venue is listed as Eagles Lodge or Eagles Club. According to their website, it’s actually called Eagles Club #34. Also their website doesn’t have a lot of details, but we’re thinking the show is free or donations... and will start right after Karaoke.

Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sean Watkins is touring in support of his new album What To Fear. Like previous appearances, we think his sister Sara Watkins (both from Grammy Award-winning trio Nickel Creek) may appear at the show.

With What To Fear, Watkins bolsters an acoustic lineup with a rock rhythm section, including guest-star pianist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and bassist Sebastian Steinberg (Soul Coughing).

Anthony D'Amato to open. The New York-based singer who came on the music scene with Down Wires in 2010. His current/new album The Shipwreck From The Shore was recorded with producer Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter, Langhorne Slim) and members of Bon Iver and Megafaun.

Legendary Australian band The Church will be in Minneapolis this Thursday, March 5th at the Cedar Cultural Center.

We previously mentioned, The Church's latest album is called Further/Deeper, which came out earlier this month, February 3rd via +180 Records. Prior to this, I reviewed Untitled #23 (their 23rd album released in 2009).

The Sydney-based band will be in America to do a promotional tour for the new record.

NYC-based collective The Sharp Things (who previously played some gigs with one of my favorite bands The Tall Pines) will open the Church show; they're touring in support of Adventurer's Inn, which came out last year via Dive Records.
