Platinum-selling pop artist Ariana Grande is about to kick off her very first arena headlining tour, The Honeymoon Tour, next week, starting on February 25 in Kansas City, Missouri at the Independence Event Center.

According to the tour poster, Manchester's Rixton set to open.

In the meantime, Scottish band The Twilight Sad will be returning to the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis with Port St. Willow to open the show.

The Twilight Sad is currently on tour in support of Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave, which garnered praises from critics calling it #1 Album of the Year and the Best Scottish Album of 2014.

Brooklyn based country trio The Lone Bellow are returning to a sold out show in Minnesota's The Turf Club. The band are touring in support of their second album Then Came The Morning, which came out January 27th via Descendant Records. The record was produced by Aaron Dessner from The National.

Opening up for all US tour dates will be Odessa (not to be confused with Odesza), who will be supporting her self-titled EP which is out now on Chop Shop/Republic Record.

The band’s name also seems to be the reaction from people who have seen them live, “…man, man!”

Man Man, the alt-experimentalists from Philadelphia are back on the road after a stint with Gogol Bordello, in support of their latest, last year’s On Oni Pond (ANTI- Records).

The phrase “expect the unexpected” is probably never more true, with leader Honus Honus, percussionist Pow Pow, and band serving up something memorable.

Arrive early, as NYC art rock band Landlady with Adam Schatz who plays in Man Man, opens the show promoting Upright Behavior (Hometapes 070).

Manchester pop is alive and well again, in the form of UK Pop/R&B foursome, Rixton.

After breaking through to radio with single “Me and My Broken Heart” and stints opening for Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, the band’s Interscope Records EP is setting the stage for an upcoming full-length.

How crazy are U.S. teens eager to see the band? – a recent NYC pop-up gig required police intervention to control the swelling crowds.

The Minneapolis show is in the south metro, at all-ages The Garage in Burnsville, with the lads scheduled to do a 2pm meet-and -greet earlier that day, at the FYE in Burnsville Center.

We've previously mentioned the supergroup The Baseball Project a few years ago, the band consists of Peter Buck (REM), Scott McCaughey (singer of The Young Fresh Fellows and The Minus 5), Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate), Linda Pitmon (Hazel Motes), and sometime Mike Mills (REM).

In support of their third album, called 3rd (Yep Roc Records), the band will be heading out on tour, stopping by Minneapolis' Cedar Cultural Center on August 11th.

Six-time Grammy-winning musician, artist and activist Ziggy Marley returns to the touring stage promoting Fly Rasta, on his own Tuff Gong Worldwide label.  The new album blends his own reggae with rock, funk, soul and psychedelica, even adding sitar, tabla and taiko drums to his musical mix.

Local artist Young Ry, who once toured with Cyndi Lauper as member of The Rule, opens the evening under the stars at the Zoo in suburban Apple Valley.
