DANNY ELFMAN
dannyelfman.com
American composer, singer, and songwriter Danny Elfman (who started in the music industry with his band Oingo Boingo in the 80s), released his double album Big Mess on ANTI- / Epitaph Records in June 2021.
Big Mess was Elfman’s first solo record in thirty-seven years. The 4x Oscar nominated, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning composer recruited drummer Josh Freese (Devo, Weezer, The Vandals), bassist Stu Brooks (Dub Trio, Lady Gaga, Lauryn Hill), and guitarists Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails, Guns N’ Roses) and Nili Brosh (Tony MacAlpine, Paul Gilbert) for this special project.
Elfman revisited one of standout singles from the album, “True”, by collaborating with NIN’s Trent Reznor.
“This is the first duet/collaboration I’ve ever done in my life, so to do it with Trent was a real surprise and a treat,” says Elfman. “He’s always been a big inspiration to me, not to mention he has one of my all-time favorite singing voices.”
If you want to check out the music video, it’s available on YouTube. The video was directed by Aron Johnson, who contributed visual effects to the Sarah Sitkin-directed music video for the album version of “True.” Johnson reinterpreted the new music video by combining brand new 3D modeling, remixed in Sitkin's archived footage of the original music video.
Big Mess is out now via ANTI- / Epitaph Records and is available on all digital streaming platforms here.

Important Note Regarding COVID-19
Given the new data that has come to light about Covid-19 and the impacts of the Delta variant specifically, I want to update you with some important decisions we’ve made about the evening:
1. Your safety is our highest priority, so all ticket holders, staff, and performers will be required to show off of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 48 hours. If you have questions about the event or this policy, feel free to reach out with any questions!
2. We will be requiring masks to be worn indoors. Although the event is being held almost exclusively outside, you will be passing through the house when checking in, and when you use the restroom. Please bring a mask. If you forget one, we will have disposable masks available for you to use.
While we won’t be requiring mask use outdoors, you are encouraged to wear it while up and about, or as much as you’d like.
