Dandy Warhols
at Bimbo's 365 Club (San Francisco)
bimbos365club.com
The Dandy Warhols are celebrating their 30th year anniversary in style with TWO nights Fri, 12/6 & Sat, 12/7.
In another indie rock instance of “You know you’re old…,” we complete this sentence with, “...when the band you danced to in the ‘90s suddenly announces a tour celebrating 30 years in the business.” In this case, the Dandy Warhols—that indie-sleazy, slightly britpop, all-partying, ultra-dancefloor-vibes Portland band that first formed in 1994—says they can hardly believe they’ve made it this far themselves. “It feels like about six… maybe seven [years],” said lead singer Courtney Taylor-Taylor. To ring their three-decade hallmark, the band often known for being tongue-in-cheeky instigators on and off the stage have announced a string of “December festivities,” including West Coast concerts, fan parties, and maybe some hijinks like in their ‘90s to aughts heyday. But who knows? Maybe, like they famously sing, “heroin is so passé.” Should be fun, nonetheless.
