ELLIE GOULDING
elliegoulding.com
Multiplatinum-selling singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding just wrapped up her tour for her album Brightest Blue… the album came out during the pandemic and is the follow-up to the popular Delirium album (at least popular in the U.S.A.)
What made the intimate “Brightest Blue UK Tour”, so special is that it’s part of Ellie’s effort to “greening” the live music industry…. After all, the singer is a UN environment ambassador and official COP26 advocate, so she’s scaling down to levels compatible with the Paris Treaty.
“My young fans in particular are very worried about the climate crisis and this about me stepping up for them and their collective future,” says Ellie Goulding, “Backstage my team has worked tirelessly to address all our impacts and I hope others will follow. There’s such an opportunity to move my industry towards net zero because we touch on so many different areas. We should be doing every damned thing to transition to a clean, green industry and we have to do it right now when we have a tiny window to keep 1.5 degrees (of global temperature rise) alive.”
We need musicians like Goulding and Coldplay, trying to keep their footprint to net zero.
