Cadet (09 Feb 2019): British rapper Cadet, who was involved an automobile accident on February 9th. He was 28 years old. Like these other working musicians, Cadet was on his way to Keele University to perform a show.
Albert Finney (07 Feb 2019): Actor Albert Finney died on February 7 at the age of 82. Although he's known mostly as an English actor, producer, and director of films & television... but he’s been known to sing, if the roles required him to do so. Finney sang in three films Scrooge (1970), Annie (1982), and Corpse Bride (2005). More importantly, he had been a great inspiration to Morrissey (singer of The Smiths), and have often appeared in many of the band’s images and cover artwork.
Legarda (07 Feb 2019): Next, is Colombian singer and YouTube star Legarda died on February 7th, after being shot in the head in an Uber. He was 29. The singer was out to promote his new single “Nutella” when the crime took place. According to many Columbian musicians, they cited that crime and violence are rampant in their country.
Carverton (06 Feb 2019): The most bizarre and tragic of these deaths is for 24-year-old Nashville musician Kyle Yorlets, the singer of Carverton, who was shot dead on February 6 by a gang of teenagers! The oldest gang member is 16 and youngest at 12. These children mugged Yorlets and shot him for his car keys. Since most of the kids were under the age of 13, per local law, their identities have not been released to the public. Carverton's upcoming single "Misery" is coming out February 22, 2019.
Transit (02 Feb 2019): Founding member of Transit, Tim Landers, has died on February 2, 2019, according to altpress.com. Landers left Transit in 2014 and later to become the Cold Collective guitarist and singer.

Harold Bradley (31 Jan 2019): Also, worth a mention is that American Hall of Fame country musician, Harold Bradley, passed away on January 31, 2019, at the age of 93. Kyle Young, CEO of Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum issued this statement: For decades, Harold Bradley went to work doing something that he called 'playing.' He surveyed every sonic situation and determined what he could do to make things better, more melodic, and more harmonious. There are lessons in Harold's approach to playing that go far beyond music. He lived his life with kindness, gentility, and discretion. On hopeful days, I will try to view Harold Bradley as an inspiration and not an aberration.
The Browns (19 Jan 2019): Country singer Maxine Brown (not to be confused with soul singer Maxine Brown) of The Browns, has died at the age of 87. The Browns were a family band, featuring Jim Ed Brown and his sisters Maxine and Bonnie. The American country and folk music vocal trio, known for their 1959 Grammy-nominated hit, “The Three Bells”. After they broke up in 1967, Maxine did try a solo career, releasing one album called Sugar Cane County. Maxine’s death was the last of the three Browns, Jim Ed died on June 11, 2015 and Bonnie died about a year after, on July 16, 2016.
The Hollies (05 Jan 2019): Six-string bassist Eric Haydock of The Hollies has died at the age of 75. According to bestclassicbands.com, Haydock’s death was confirmed by Hollies co-founder Bobby Elliott, “Along with Tony [Hicks], Eric and I were the rhythm section that created the springboard for [Allan] Clarke, Hicks and [Graham] Nash to launch that famous three-way Hollies harmony…On the early package tours, Dave Clark, the Kinks and artists of the period would watch from the wings as we effortlessly rocked the screaming theatre audiences into a frenzy…Although Eric left the Hollies in 1966, I occasionally listen enthralled by our BBC and Abbey Road recording sessions and dear Eric masterfully playing his six string bass.”
Captain and Tennille (02 Jan 2019): Daryl Dragon, aka “The Captain” of Captain and Tennille, has died today (January 2nd) to renal failure, according to NBCMiami.com. The Captain was 76.
Captain & Tennille was known for such hits like “Do That To Me One More Time” and their signature song “Love Will Keep Us Together”. Unfortunately, love did not keep them together, as we previously wrote about their divorce in early 2014.
