Elle King
with Red Clay Strays
at Palace Theatre
first-avenue.com
Nashville, by the way of Ohio, Elle King will be headlining the Palace Theatre in St Paul on March 5th, 2023. Her latest album Come Get Your Wife is available now.
We saw King in June 2015 and wrote, “Singer-songwriter Elle King just played a raucous, no-holds-barred, barn-burning 79 min. set at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis that had feet stomping, heads nodding, and even some “ear muffs” up (to reference a scene from Vince Vaughn in Old School).”
Red Clay Strays to open.

Nebula
at Turf Club
first-avenue.com
Formed from the ashes of Fu Manchu, Nebula rocked the world with their debut album To the Center on Sub Pop.
I don’t know what happened to the band, but they sort of broke up and then re-formed with drummer Michael Amster of Mondo Generator in 2017.
The now-trio’s latest album Transmission From Mothership Earth came out during the pandemic.
No opening bands have been announced.

Crash Test Dummies
with Carleton Stone
at The Fitzgerald Theater
first-avenue.com
The last time Crash Test Dummies try to come to town, it was cancelled due to the pandemic (as mentioned here).
Hopefully this March 9th show at the Fitzgerald Theater in St Paul will work out for the Canadian band.
If you aren’t familiar with the 90s band, they are famous for Brad Roberts’ bass-baritone vocals for such as song as “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” and “Superman's Song”.
Carleton Stone to open. Stone is an award-winning artist, a songwriter with a growing list of credits, and a founding member of Port Cities.
