Today is Earth Day, so here are some songs that deal with this glorious planet.

First up is "The 3 R's" by Jack Johnson. It's taken from the Curious George soundtrack titled Sing-a-Longs and Lullabies and is an upbeat, children's song about reducing, reusing, and recycling. Not one of the greatest songs in his arsenal, but I like it for its positive message. |
Second is "Our Trees" by Tegan and Sara from their first album Under Feet Like Ours and is about missing trees. There's a thread on a fansite message board about the song; it was written when they noticed there was a lack of trees in their backyard/neighborhood and it's not supposed to be a political statement. |

The third track is "Land of Trees" by Micah Dorsey. He used to be in the band Pilotdrift who I posted about recently. There aren't any lyrics available online, but from listening to the song, I think it's about living in nature. It's a soft, melodic, mellow, calm, peaceful song. [Jason] |
