Here are some shows taking place in the Minneapolis/St Paul area from December 1 to December 2, 2016.
Other shows in the area:
12/01 Jim James (you know, that guy from My Morning Jacket), with Twin Limb, is playing the State Theatre
12/01 J.J. Grey & Mofro and Parker Millsap will play First Avenue
12/01 Rising country star Luke Bell will be promoting his self-titled album at Uptown VFW Post
12/01 New Yorker Shana Falana (say that out loud!) is playing the Kitty Cat Klub in support of Here Comes the Wave (Team Love). The venue’s website doesn’t have the (current) listing, but most of their shows are free or under $5.
12/02 Plastic Pinks will be playing the Hexagon Bar (known as “the Hex” by locals), touring in support of El Animal EP (Ghost Drag). The venue doesn’t have a listing, but I am told local band France Camp will open.
12/02 Rising dance producers Marshmello will be playing the Skyway Theatre.

CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN
at Myth Live Event Center
Thursday, 12/01/16, 7pm ($22)
mythlive.com
Start off December right with Catfish and the Bottlemen at the Myth in St Paul. We’ve been big fans of the British group since we wrote about them in December 2014. Since then, we’ve happily seen the band grow from their humble 7th Street Entry show to overtaking the mainroom at First Ave.
By the way, the popular band recently sold out Wembley Arena.
Anyway, now the band is back in town, doing a year of nonstop touring in support of their new album The Ride.
There are no opening bands listed for the Myth show.
Catfish and the Bottlemen are: Van McCann (lead vocals, guitar), Johnny Bond (lead guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums).
