THE MUSIC TAPES

If you have or can appreciate a childlike sense of wonder and awe and find yourself in Athens, GA on Saturday May 27, there is a show happening at the 40 Watt Club that you must see: Elephant 6 alumni The Music Tapes will perform in support of their new EP The Orbiting Human Circus (Merge Records).
This performance will serve as a departure, miles removed from a traditional live show by any band you’ve ever seen. It will be an up-close-and-personal interactive experience inspired by the band’s podcast The Orbiting Human Circus (Of The Air), a show made up of “cinematic audio narrative, song and sound collage.”

When not hanging out with Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre), she’s appearing with JD Samson (MEN, Le Tigre).
