Since the release of their 2013 debut EP Northern Lights (which we previously wrote about), Kate Boy have added some new tour dates in the U.S. this Fall.

The tour will take them to CMJ 2014 in New York and will end at the Roxy in Los Angeles. See full tour listing below for more details.

The Stockholm-based trio's latest single, "Self Control" recently premiered at Pitchfork and will be out on iTunes this August 19th via IAMSOUND/Island Records.

Remember how I announced Boys Noize's first ever American tour in 2012? Looks like the German music producer/DJ Boys Noize (aka Alexander Ridha) will be heading back to the States, headlining even bigger venues this time around. I noted big because Mill City Nights in Minneapolis is on the same par as First Avenue in terms of size.

The new tour seems to be in support of his latest single, "Go Hard", from his EP Go Hard (coming out June 24th via Boysnoize Records). More details on wegohard2013.com.

We briefly mentioned this Japanese band, Taffy, last year. Well, the four-piece's latest Double A single, "Tumbling"/"Boys Don't Cry", is out now via Club AC30. And yes, that B-side, excuse me, other A-side is a cover of the Cure's famous song. The 7" is strictly limited to 250 copies worldwide and comes in lavender color. Electro-pop ensemble Kate Boy just unveiled their new song, "The Way We Are", streaming now on pitchfork.com and available for digital download. The track follows the group's debut EP, Northern Lights (IAMSOUNDS Records).

Kate Boy's very first U.S. tour just kicked off last week (June 6th) and will be ending in San Francisco this Thursday at Rickshaw Stop. You can check out the mostly Swedish band in person, which incidentally was named after Australian Kate Akhurst and her Swedish boys: Hampus Nordgren, Oskar Engström and Markus Dextegen.
