American country music singer, songwriter and guitarist Jaime Wyatt will be headlining the Turf Club in St Paul on January 30, 2024.

We last heard from her with her New West Records’ Neon Cross… however, she sang on Dropkick Murphys’ “Bring It Home” from the band’s 2023 album Okemah Rising.

We saw Wyatt in June 2023 and said, “Americana / outlaw country artist Jamie Wyatt from Nashville (by way of Santa Monica and Tacoma) started the warm evening off with a brief five-song set performed in sunglasses and barefoot, in support of her 2020 sophomore full-length, Neon Cross (on New West Records). Wyatt began with the opening track from her 2017 debut, Felony Blues, “Wishing Well” and ending with the title track from the most recent record, charming the attendees that braved the triple-digit heat to arrive early enough to catch the first act of the night.”

Legendary DJ and mixer DJ Shadow is touring in support of his 7th solo album Action Adventure. The new project is pure DJ Shadow, working on album without any collaborations.

DJ Shadow explains, “This album is about my relationship to music. My life as a collector and curator. All my records and tapes.”

Action Adventure is out now on Mass Appeal Records.

Actor Michael Shannon and musician Jason Narducy are celebrating R.E.M.’s celebrated 1983 debut album, Murmur.

All shows on the tour will feature Shannon (vocals) and Narducy (guitar) along with Jon Wurster (drums), Dag Juhlin (guitar), Nick Macri (bass), and Vijay Tellis-Nayak (piano).

Monday, January 29, 2024, is the last date of the Cactus Blossoms’ residency at the Turf Club.

We caught the band in Feb 2022 and said, “Immediately after the release of The Cactus Blossoms’ new album, One Day, the American duo appeared at three stores, performing at Mill City Sound (in Hopkins), Down In The Valley (in Golden Valley), and Electric Fetus (in Minneapolis), all on February 12th.”
