The Posies are celebrating their 30th Anniversary as a band. To celebrate this special occasion, Omnivore Recordings will be reissuing three classic albums by the Posies. Each of these titles (Fosting on the Beater, Amazing Disgrace, and Dear 23) comes as a 2-CD set featuring the original album remastered from original master tapes, plus almost all previously unissued bonus tracks, and on vinyl as a 2-LP set of the original album — mastered at 45 rpm.

The last time we saw the band, it was in May 2016 at a secret location (Patrick’s Cabaret), and we said, “In existence since 1986, The Posies had quite a catalog to draw from for their two-hour set, with core members Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow joined on drums by Frankie Siragusa for their first outing since the recent deaths of former members Darius Minwalla and Joe Skyward.”

Porcupine, Terra Lightfoot, and DJ Jake Rudh (from Transmission) to open. This should be a jam-packed night.

We caught the band in Oct 2016 and said, “... we’ve been loving them for a while. Let me tell you about their first Minnesota appearance, opening for DIIV in 2015: everyone who showed up early fell in love with the band. I was there to witness as newfound fans were taking selfies with the band.”
