Look, it’s been 14 years since that album came out, and in that time, Joe Pug has grown and changed… so revisiting the album that started it all, he’s going to play it a little differently now. Maybe he’ll approach it with a different arrangement, maybe the song might work better stripped down…

Patrick Watson will be stopping by the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis on December 1, 2022.
The Canadian singer-songwriter, composer has over certified Gold in Canada. You may have heard his songs on
Grey’s Anatomy and
The Walking Dead among others.
We saw Watson in
June 2012 and said, “Seeing Patrick Watson, it was like seeing some old friends as they play their music around a campfire. I'm convinced that they had their own people working the lights, because often the music was in synced with the lights (which were minimally used throughout their set). They also brought their own light rig, which brought a bit of a drama when used correctly.”

The Plot in You with special guests Silent Planet, Avoid, and Cane Hill, at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall on December 3rd.
We last saw the Ohio quartet (Landon Tewers [vocals], Josh Childress [guitar], Ethan Yoder [bass], and Michael Cooper [drums]) in
July 2016 and wrote, “Last night was their second chance and they killed it. They came out and owned that stage. Even though the crowd had been active for hours at this point, they didn't slow down. The crowd got even more intense as The Plot In You hammered through their brutal set. The music, although brutal, was beyond clean and exactly what I needed it to be in order for this band to get back into my good graces. The band members seemed more than appreciate of the crowd and the fact that, even though they were the last band to play on a six band line-up, people were still having fun and moving around.”

Kansas City’s
Shiner will headline the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis on December 4th. The band released
Schadenfreude (DeSoto Records Records), which is Shiner’s first new album since 2001’s critically acclaimed LP
The Egg. The new album has drawn comparisons to Queens of The Stone Age and Soundgarden and landed on “best of the week” lists at Under The Radar and Brooklyn Vegan, among others.
Minneaoplis, by the way of Duluth,
