With rising COVID-19 cases, due to the delta variant, First Avenue (which also includes 7th Street Entry, Turf Club, Fine Line Music Café, Palace Theatre, and Fitzgerald) announced that they are requiring all guests and patrons to show proof of vaccination or negative COVID test within 72 hours, according to the Star Tribune .
The sudden announcement came out on Monday, so those who already paid for a concert, but don’t meet the requirements… you can ask for a refund.
We’ve attended a few shows last month, and can say that most fans in attendance did not wear masks or had a care in the world. Will full, or near capacity, of my recent shows, I can easily see that someone with the virus could easily infect everyone in the room.
With the new rules announced, local venue Hook & Ladder announced they’ll also follow suit. Once all the other local Minnesota venues open back up again, it would probably make sense that they’ll also have the same requirements.
The Cedar Cultural Center announced that they’ve just recently re-opened August 3rd, 2021, but made no mentioning of the vaccine requirements.
