Gunship: Monster in Paradise

Gunship released Monster in Paradise in early July (for streaming preview), and just like every other Gunship song, I was slow to catch on to it. For whatever reason, the algorithms don't put their songs into my feed. Regrettable, but just like an amazing but soft-spoken person who has always been in your circle of friends but never caught your attention until later on, better late than never.
Gunship is a London based trio. Two of the members were formerly with the band Fightstar. They released their first album, Gunship, in 2015, and Monster in Paradise is the first release from their upcoming third studio album Unicorn. The single is a collaboration with Milkie Way (from Wargasm), Dave Lombardo, Tyler Bates, and saxophonist Tim Capello.
Monster in Paradise, much like their 2015 Tech Noir, starts with a haunting spoken intro, setting a dark lyrical overtone over the comparatively lighter musical tones. The song itself rocks, with tension building and releasing through its melodies, excellent harmonization by the sinners, and saxophone wizardry.
The music video does not fall short either. Similar to the videos for Tech Noir and Fly For Your Life, it creates a story that fits the song but didn't necessarily need to go in that direction.
