KINGS OF CONVENIENCE
kingsofconvenience.eu
Norway’s Kings of Convenience (Eirik Glambeck Boe and Erlend Øye) is releasing their first album in 12 years called Peace or Love on IMPERIAL Records.
What’s weird is that we recently did a Flashback to their Bowery Ballroom show in 2009. The show was special because Feist showed up to this show to help them sing out “Know How”.
Apparently, the band is close friends with Feist, who co-wrote a few songs, including “Love Is A Lonely Thing” and “Catholic Country” (both appearing on the new album).
You can see the duo live at London’s Royal Festival Hall on September 26, 2021 (afternoon matinee and an evening show.)

ACID HOUSE KINGS
acidhousekings.com
To be perfectly honest, I thought the band broke up ten years ago… so wow this was unexpected.
Swedish pop group Acid House Kings released their first new music in ten years. The “A Little Dancing” song was a result of a COVID world, as they mentioned, “After 14 months of pandemic-induced boredom, recording a set of bittersweet timeless pop songs, almost seemed an act of rebellion. Refusing to succumb to the tedium of the present, instead indulging in dreams of summers and parties to come, and in the memories of summers that have passed. The first release, A little dancing, is the softest war cry, you’ll ever hear. The Kings hope that you’ll enjoy it; it made Julia whistle out loud in the studio, a whistle that made it on to the final version.”
The song is described as having “Explicit lyrics”, which you can barely hear in the line “There’s a time to tell them to f*** off”.
I think the chorus goes like this:

I think the chorus goes like this:
Do you feel like a little dancing?
Some more romancing?
There’s a time and place for everything that’s new
Do you feel like a little more drinking?
So what were you thinking?
There’s a time and place for everything that’s new

KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD
Butterfly 3000 is the new album from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The album is said to be the typical synthesisers and sequencers, loops and weird noises that makes a Gizzard record.
But that’s not the exciting news… most fans are interested in seeing how these songs would translate to a live concert. We caught the band at Desert Daze in Oct 2017 and wrote, “Saturday the highlights were definitely Frankie and the Witch Fingers, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Iggy Pop.”
With that said, the group is back touring in 2022:
