American singer-songwriter
Lucy Dacus will be headlining First Avenue’s mainroom on Saturday, October 9th, 2021.
Bartees Strange will open.
Dacus is touring in support of her new album
Home Video, which The New York Times Style Magazine explained, as “a forthright exploration of coming of age, deep friendships and young queer love amid a Bible camp backdrop, [which] volleys between grief and humor and darkness”
We last saw Lucy Dacus in
Oct 2019 and said, “Richmond-based singer Lucy Dacus ended the all-women show, playing plenty of beloved songs. Fans loved it… but we already this was the case when we saw her headlined the sold-out 7th Street Entry in April 2018…”

menitrust.tumblr.com
Canadian band
Men I Trust is touring, they are stopping by the Fine Line in Minneapolis on October 2nd.
We last saw the indie band opened up for
Belle & Sebastian in
July 2019 and noted, “The trio had an easy electronic-pop/indiepop sound to them and expect to hear more from them once their upcoming Oncle Jazz album (with 24 tracks!) comes out in September 2019.”
Michael Seyer will open the show. Seyer recently released his new single, “Modern Loneliness” (taken from his album
A Good Fool), which he explains, “I wrote this song during a weird time: around September of 2020. The world felt like it was caving in on itself and at the surface of it all, I always felt this ambiguous and intense feeling of loneliness. It's a theme I always come back to and I don't know why I keep writing about loneliness but hopefully making music about the feeling gives me a better understanding of it or at least an exercise in sanity in what feels like an increasingly isolated world.”
