This is somewhat embarrassing, but I used to create and manage band websites. One of those website was for Stretch Princess. The website and its contents are long gone, just like the band. Fortunately, I recovered from a hard drive failure and was able to back up some data from that time period (1999-2002).
So, Stretch Princess was a British alt-rock band, named after a type of limousine. They released two albums (Stretch Princess and Fun With Humans) on Wind-Up Records, and their sound is something you would find on The CW.
This was the report I filed for this free event, sponsored by 104.1 The Point and Dunn Brothers Coffee. Please note that at this time, Stretch Princess was opening up for Cherry Poppin' Daddies, when not opening up for Eve 6 or Better Than Ezra.
Soon after meeting the band, singer Jo Lloyd sent in this message (05/01/1999):
As for "where are they now?", I have no idea. I know Wind-Up Records is still around.

Stretch Princess finally got some recognition and radio airplay, as part of 104.1 The Point and Dunn Brothers Coffee's Acoustic Cup Concert. This past week, The Point, has been promoting this concert heavily, so a lot of people showed up early, and filled the upstairs of Dunn Brother's by 5:30pm. Those less fortunately had to witness the acoustic set on a big screen television downstairs (which was also filled.)
The acoustic set original had only four songs from their self-debut album, but the reception was so good, they added an extra song at the end, "Twisted".
James claimed that "Lost on Me" was only played twice. Lots of cheers and clapping at the start of "Sorry" - the current single being played on 104.1 The Point.
After the acoustic set, they stayed and signed autographs. During the signing, Jo asked what my name was, so she can personally autograph my poster. I said, "Vu", and when she spelled it, "v" and "u" she suddenly stopped and said, "You're Vu!" and gave me a hug. =)
I talked to James and David for a few second, and found out that they're going to be back in New York tomorrow. They also promised to come back and do a real "plugged in" show here.
So, yay, finally Stretch Princess came to my town, and they've made lots of new fans today.
