I always forget that Amazon has their weird Prime Gaming (over at gaming.amazon.com).
Every so often, Amazon actually just gives away games - providing that you are a Prime Member (which I have through my brother’s membership under the family extension). I guess it’s just one of the perks, such as free video stream of some of Amazon’s library (including their own funded shows such as Reacher and Jack Ryan).
Recently, for the Christmas holiday, Amazon is giving away Dishonored 2 for free via Prime Gaming. But the best part is that you do not need some sort of Amazon launcher, the free game will be redeemed through GOG, which is the gaming platform that I had championed for years.
I do actually own the Dishonored series on Steam, so I have played a bit of it. I’m not a massive fan of sneak games… and so I didn’t really give Dishonored a chance. It’s just a nice way of saying that I didn’t really like the game.
Speaking of GOG, currently they are running their own Winter Sale, which rivals Steam’s Winter Sale. Unfortunately, due to GOG’s stance of DRM, some Triple A games, such as God of War, can’t be sold on GOG.
While you’re over at GOG, they’re giving away Worms Revolution Gold Edition for free.
Yours,
