BLACK PISTOL FIRE
blackpistolfire.com
Austin-by-way-of-Toronto duo Black Pistol Fire will be returning to Minneapolis this July 2021.
We caught the group in Dec 2017 and wrote, “The new album may be called Deadbeat Graffiti (on Red Bird Records) but there was nothing lethargic about Black Pistol Fire who exploded like a firecracker from the beginning notes of their seventy-minute headlining set. The duo (Kevin McKeown-guitar/lead vocals and Eric Owen- drums) had been getting great word-of-mouth regarding their live performances and proved it again this night, working themselves and the restless, head-bobbing crowd into a near-immediate lather with their blend of dirty garage blues rock starting with their incendiary opener, ‘Lost Cause’.”
Drummer Eric Owen, adds to why they love touring and playing live: “I love making music, but playing live, there's nothing like it. Every time we hit the stage, no matter if it's a sold-out show or not, we remember why we started doing this … And our live show is where we cut our teeth and where we honed our craft. It’s a rollercoaster ride, and the stage is where we come alive.”
If you’re looking for a great live band, check out Black Pistol Fire, you won’t regret it.
Black Pistol Fire’s Look Alive is available now under Black Pistol Fire’s new label Black Hill Records.

BLACK STONE CHERRY

The Human Condition is the forthcoming album from Black Stone Cherry. The record lands on August 27, via Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group.
Although the record was completed just days before the COVID-19 lockdown, the band thinks the songs are reflective of the time. Drummer John Fred Young adds, “There was a real urgency and fear of the unknown during those sessions - it was a scary time. Every song on this album tells a story of the experiences we all go through - our happiness, our struggles, and how we have to adapt.
