In March 1983, rock trio ZEBRA (Randy Jackson, Felix Hanemann and Guy Gelso) released its acclaimed self-titled debut album on Atlantic Records, quickly being certified gold within a few months on the back of hit singles, "Tell Me What You Want" and "Who's Behind the Door?"

In celebration of this 40^th anniversary, the band has announced nationwide tour dates, performing the entire debut record in order along with other fan favorites and deep cuts, as well as several Led Zeppelin classics that they, and lead singer Jackson, have become particularly known for.

In 2010, they were inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame and were acknowledged as Louisiana's #1 rock band by the Louisiana Music Commission, and in 2012, Zebra was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.

THE WHITE STRIPES

The White Stripes – Third Man Records – Official Store

Though the pair has been disbanded for years, The White Stripes are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their Platinum-certified 2003 fourth studio album, Elephant.

Released on April 1, 2003, the album proved to be critically acclaimed and won the 2004 GRAMMY® Award for Best Alternative Album as well as peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200, while also topping the UK’s Official Albums Chart.

Album singles included “Seven Nation Army,” “I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself,” “The Hardest Button To Button,” and “There’s No Home For You Here.”

The digitally remastered HD audio of the album is out now, joined with the band’s July 2003 27-song set at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom from their Elephant Tour, and of course, exclusive vinyl options are available, all via Third Man Records.

Four-time GRAMMY® Award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, The Doobie Brothers are continuing their landmark 50^th Anniversary Tour, through October 2023, featuring Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons and John McFee on the road together for the first time in over 25 years.

Before resuming their US run in June, the band will take their 50th Anniversary Tour to Australia, Japan and Singapore. Selling nearly 50 million albums worldwide, The Doobie Brothers have had five top-10 singles, 16 top-40 hits, 3 multi-platinum albums, 7 platinum albums, 14 gold albums and own a rare diamond record for their 1976 album, Best of the Doobies.

BLACKMORE'S NIGHT

While Deep Purple reunion rumors continue to swirl, legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has successfully carried on with his own more traditional band. Blackmore’s Night celebrates the band’s 25th Anniversary with a deluxe, remixed reissue of the band’s debut Shadow Of The Moon via EARMusic, out now.

The fully remixed 25th Anniversary Edition of Shadow Of The Moon is available in a variety of deluxe editions, all including a bonus DVD documentary as well as two previously unreleased acoustic recordings - “Spirit Of The Sea” and “Shadow Of The Moon”, both recorded in an intimate 2022 home session. Blackmore’s Night was founded in 1997 by guitarist Blackmore and lyricist and singer Candice Night to explore their love for traditional Medieval and Folk-Rock music.

 

THE KINKS

The Kinks, one of the greatest British rock groups, celebrate their 60th Anniversary in 2023 and celebrate with a two-part special anniversary anthology release, The Journey- Part 1 (1964-1975) (out now on 2CD, 2LP, Digital and HD Digital), and The Journey- Part 2, which will follow later this year.

Formed in 1963 in North London by brothers Ray and Dave Davies with their friend Pete Quaife, and joined by Mick Avory in early 1964, the band quickly established themselves in the burgeoning UK music scene. They would go on to sell over 50 million records worldwide and have been streamed over a billion times; they have achieved five US Top 10 singles, nine US Top 40 albums, seventeen UK Top 20 singles and five UK Top 10 albums, with four albums certified Gold, and have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame.

'U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At The Sphere' will be a special run of Fall shows marking the band's first live outing in four years and launching from an all-new state-of-the-art venue, MSG Sphere in Las Vegas.

They will also revisit their groundbreaking Achtung, Baby album and ZOO TV Tour as a 30-year(give or take) celebration of that era. We saw the original tour early-on, at only the fifth show in Hampton, VA, and are excited to see how the band has updated the technology and those classic songs, to present them in a modern spectacle.

For the first time ever though, they will be without their founder and drummer Larry Mullen, Jr, still recuperating from surgery, with Dutch drummer Bram van den Berg sitting in his place. The still-being-constructed venue promises cutting-edge features such as the first 16K screen that wraps up, around, and behind the audience and immersive surround sound. 4D technology will let the audience feel the wind on their face, the heat on their skin and the rumble of thunder. In the meantime, singer Bono is continuing his Songs of Surrender book tour, with a run of NYC performances.

Snow Patrol released a 20th Anniversary edition of their classic record Final Straw, released digitally via UMe on March 31, with a special double vinyl edition and 2CD following on August 4 to mark the record's original release date. The breakthrough album was propelled by the ballad "Run," which has over 127 million Spotify plays, and hit singles, "Chocolate" and "Spitting Games”. The anniversary edition includes 23 additional tracks*, including never-before-heard demos, B-sides, live tracks from the band's August 2004 show at London's Somerset House, and a previously unreleased track, "Tired."

"I still have days where I don't believe much of the last 20 years," writes singer Gary Lightbody in liner notes accompanying the release. “It's a gift we were given. We've never taken any of what happened after the release of this album for granted." Final Straw went on to sell over four million copies worldwide, with 1.8 million sales in the UK and going six-times platinum.

Singer/songwriter/feminist/activist/author Ani DiFranco is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of her ninth studio album, the iconic Little Plastic Castle. Righteous Babe Records is offering an anniversary edition remastered with the addition of three bonus tracks, a new CD package and first-time release on 2LP vinyl.

Chosen as one of the "Greatest Albums Made by Women" by NPR in 2017, Little Plastic Castle is also DiFranco’s highest charting album to date and led to her third GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Rock Performance – Female.

About the album, DiFranco notes, “On the occasion of this 25th anniversary reissue, I would like to say an extra special thanks to those who took this record, and me, into their hearts fiercely, and loved without judgment.”

Her previous First Avenue show, set for August 21, 2021 (as mentioned in July 2021) was canceled due to COVID concerns. DiFranco is making up for lost time with this January 2023 show… which actually kicks off her 2023 tour.

The feminist icon and Grammy winner is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of her seminal first live album, Living In Clip (Righteous Babe Records). In addition, you can get the 25th anniversary remastered edition of the landmark double album on this tour, as well as online through her website.

Celebrating local radio station The Current’s 18th Anniversary, they’ve double booked Semisonic and Chastity Brown at First Avenue on January 27 and 28.

As soon as the dates were announced, both shows have sold out… although Semisonic said that a limited number of tickets for Friday’s show was released to the public.

We didn’t see the band last January 2022, but briefly saw them with Hippo Campus in Mar 2017 and said, “Opening up the show was Florida’s Magic City Hippies.... in for a treat with the snowstorm outside. Normally a trio (Robby Hunter, Pat Howard, John Coughlin), the Miami-based band was expanded to a five-piece with a keyboardist and additional guitarist. This was the band’s first national tour, and they were super excited to be billed with Hippo Campus.”

Rocktober continues! And damn the scheduling gods for packing in so many shows, especially on Saturday Oct 8!

Weather has turned and fall is clearly hear, so the best time for live music is now, before earlier sunsets and colder temps.

Here’s what’s happening in the Kansas City/Lawrence, KS metro October 3rd-9th.

Monday Oct 3

Diana Krall, Kauffman Center. $59-$179

Diana Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart and she’s won two Grammy® Awards and ten Juno® Awards among many others. Latest record from Elvis Costello’s better half is 2020’s This Dream of You, which followed a duets album with Tony Bennett.

Mother Mother w Sir Sly,Transviolet, Uptown. $55-$132

BC Canadian indie rock band who released a deluxe version of latest album, Inside, this January, with seven additional songs. Live, they’ve recently been working in a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” and ending their main set with “Hayloft” and its recent sequel, “Hayloft II”.

Opener Sir Sly is out in support of last year’s The Rise and Fall of Loverboy, and as we explained previous, is one of those “unicorn” bands we’ve been trying to see for the last decade, but has never worked out- guess what? We're out of town for this date, so will miss them again- the “curse” continues!”  We caught Transviolet live last, back in 2016.

La Dispute with Sweet Pill and Pictoria Vark, Granada. $25

Michigan post-hardcore band out supporting 2019’s Panorama full-length but has been playing their 2011 album, Wildlife, in its entirety along with a multi-song encore of more recent songs.

Philly emo-core rockers Sweet Pill have new single out, “High Hopes” from their Where the Heart Is, and Pictoria Vark is a NJ bassist living near Iowa City with project The Parts I Dread.

Tuesday Oct 4

Toadies with Reverend Horton Heat and Frankie and The Witch Fingers, Knuckleheads. $25-$30

If it’s called the Rubberneck Tour, it’s a dead giveaway that the Texas band will be playing their 1994 album in its entirety. Look for members of ‘The Heat to maybe join on one song, as well as a classic Screamin’ Jay Hawkins cover.

Speaking of Reverend Horton Heat, they've been playing their own classic album, Liquor in the Front, as well as Sub Pop Songs, which include a legendary Motorhead cover.

Frankie and the Witch Fingers hits Desert Daze this weekend in California then joins up for this tour, with Nashville Pussy on later dates (including Minneapolis).

Pusha T, The Truman, $36.50-$74.50

On his It’s Almost Dry Tour, from the new album of the same name, the former rapper from The Clipse is one of the most recognizable in hip-hop (and actually had a direct hand in McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It’ catchphrase!). The album, hot topped the Billboard 100, includes “Rock N Roll” a collab with Kanye West, before they notably parted ways and expect that one and some previous ‘Ye collabs live.

Restraining Order, Prince Daddy and The Hyena, The Rino, $22

New England hardcore punk band out supporting The World is Too Much (on Triple B Records) and new single “Fight Back”, the band is fairly new, so catch them while you can.

Opening indie/emo rockers Prince Daddy And The Hyena have been around a bit longer, since 2014 with three full lengths and four EPs to their credit, the latest being a concept piece.

aka Jackson Stell, the electronic/dance vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/producer just released sophomore full-length, The Efferusphere and plays numerous instruments for his live shows.

Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives, Kauffman Center. $39-$59

We love Marty Stuart – we’ve caught him live a few times recently (his 2017 Fine Line show was amazing), his variety show repeats on RFD channel are a guilty pleasure, and in addition to being a legend himself, respects the legacy of Country Music and vows to uphold it.

New album Songs I Sing in the Dark has been ready a while and is just awaiting release and longtime band The Fabulous Superlatives (guitarist Kenny Vaughan, drummer Harry Stinson, bassist Chris Scruggs) is about as good as they come.

On the Cheers! Tour, the Wash DC power pop trio sounds very celebratory supporting their new album of the same name. Seems like we’ve never seen them live, which is odd, but will hope to catch them soon.

Texas country singer-songwriter released seventh studio album, Doz Corazonas just over a year ago, so has a deep catalog to draw from for his live shows.

Muna, The Truman. $35-$60

Call us fans of this LA indie-pop trio, who released their third but self-titled album back in June, and who we last caught opening for Kacey Musgraves at the beginning of the year. The band has great energy live and has even been working in a cover of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside” which is a natural sing-along song, and last year’s “Silk Chiffon” was on numerous Best-Of year-ending lists.

Tour is mostly sold out (as you can see) so catch them while you can!

Tanya Tucker, Prairie Band Casino-Mayetta, SOLD OUT

The country queen known best for classic song “Delta Dawn” is still going strong in her mid-60’s and is enjoying a big renaissance and career boost, helped by Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings. Their collab, 2020’s While I’m Livin’ won two GRAMMYS and the follow up is due soon.

There’s still plenty of buzz for this UK experimental/art band and their full-length Cavalcade, as evidenced when we saw them last October in Minneapolis. They were 2019 Mercury Prize nominees, are purposely a bit of an enigma, originated in London’s BRIT School of Music, and are on their Back in Black Tour.

The $trip Love Tour hits KC’s arena for a big show with new album expected soon. The urbano/reggaeton artist in August released "Gatúbela" (alongside Maldy from Plan B). The song, title means "Catwoman” and video features her new red hairstyle. Opener is a well-known urbano DJ.

Danger Bob with Cher UK and The Bubble Boys, Liberty Hall. $20

Two longtime area bands headline this throwback show to the indie-rock ‘90s (note that vaxx proof is required)

Glaive with Aldn, The Truman. $25

aka Ash Guiterrez has been an online hyperpop sensation, and the 17-year-old’s recent single is "Minnesota Is a Place That Exists" that kind of places our home state as part of an alibi story, so we’re not sure what to think. The lower-case loving artist is out on his america is a place that exists Tour and is recommended for any Kid Laroi fans, who he’s previously opened for.

Riff Generation, Medallion Theater, $25

October installment featuring a new jazz ensemble that cultivates new music alongside Kansas City’s fabled heritage of the genre. Part of a stand-alone performance series of new, highly collaborative compositions in a modern examination of the Kansas City “riff style.” Musicians audition for a one-year residency and perform these works in a variety of settings.

Wolf Alice, The Truman. $30-$50

This London alt rock band remains one of our favorites, releasing Blue Weekend last June and proceeding to win the Brit Award for Best British Group, earlier this year. We’ve been writing about them since early 2013 and saw them last twice in 2018, so are overdue. It will be anything but a blue weekend catching them live, as it’s their biggest US tour to date, meaning their secret is finally getting out in the States.

Ani DiFranco, Liberty Hall- Lawrence, $30-$189

The groundbreaking leader of Righteous Babe Records returns to the road, in support of last year’s Revolutionary Love. She’s always been prolific, releasing some twenty+ albums and a 2019 memoir so has plenty to draw from, and is supporting Run for Something on this tour, to inspire young progressive leaders to run for local offices.

William Basinski, Bottleneck. $25

LA avant-garde composer bringing his soundscapes to this small college club in support of new album, ". . . on reflection ", this ambient, experimental show could prove to be very mesmerizing.

Post Modern Jukebox, Uptown, $35-$75

A rescheduled show – Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox is a musical troupe known for covering modern pop hits and transforming them into jazz, swing, and doo-wop songs.

Sueco, recordBar, $20

LA pop-punk young rapper whose song “Paralyzed” blew up on TikTok and Spotify, brings a high energy show to a relatively small room.

Max and Iggor Cavalera, Granada- Lawrence, $25/$28

Sepultura fans, rise! Expect songs from Beneath the Remains and Arise, as well as maybe a Motorhead cover on this tour that looks back fondly on the brother’s beginnings.

Slaughter and Riley’s LA Guns, Ameristar, $32-145

A throwback to the hair days with both bands having several chart hits, and though there are two confusing versions of L.A. Guns, we want to say this one featuring original vocalist Phil Lewis and drummer Steve Riley (no Tracii though). Most of Slaughter usually backs up Vince Neil on his solo dates.

A good opportunity to see a rising country-pop artist in a relatively small theater.

Now in its tenth year, The Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR) takes place in Lawrence, KS for the first time, benefiting the Steve Tilford Foundation, named for the multi-award winning mountain biking legend, and its kickoff concert has moved outside to 8^th and Mass. downtown under the stars featuring the Michael Franti Trio and Maria the Mexican.

The BWR provides professional and amateur cyclists the opportunity to ride over up to a 111.11-mile route throughout the northeast region of Kansas and yes, there will be waffles, Belgian ales, and frites available along with a silent auction, vendor fair, and related weekend activities.

NOVEMBER 8 – STAND UP FOR HEROES– New York City

Home - Bob Woodruff Foundation

Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, Jim Gaffigan, Nikki Glaser and many others are set to perform at the 15^th annual Stand Up for Heroes benefit event, which supports the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s efforts to help wounded service members, veterans and their families, at Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Also appearing on the bill are comic and musical performances by Nate Bargatze, Grace Gaustad, Sing Harlem, Donnell Rawlings, and more. Springsteen appears almost every year, and has even auctioned off a motorcycle and dinner featuring his “mom’s lasagna.”

NOVEMBER 12- TIPPING POINT FEAT. CHAKA KHAN –New Orleans

Giving to Tulane - Tipping Point 2021

The fifth annual Tipping Point benefit concert, presented by Tulane University returns to The Fillmore New Orleans on Nov. 12, headlined by the legendary eight-time GrammyⓇ winner singer, songwriter Chaka Khan and also features numerous other artists including Marcus King, Trombone Shorty, Son Little, Jackie Greene and George Porter Jr.

Chaka Khan remains one of our live favorites and we caught her in concert, most recently in 2018 and again in 2019 alongside Michael McDonald. Proceeds from the concert will fund scholarships that will enable qualified students to attend Tulane University regardless of their economic background.

DECEMBER 1- WORLD AIDS DAY CONCERT –Los Angeles

AHF Presents: World AIDS Day - The LA Revival - The LA Forum

Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson headline a Free AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) concert at The Forum in Los Angeles on December 1^st, hosted by entertainer Randy Rainbow.

The concert will be produced with longtime AHF partner, multi-EmmyⓇ and TonyⓇ award winner Debbie Allen and also feature a performance by young students from her Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

Both headlining women are truly vocally gifted and hearing their range live is an exceptional experience– we were lucky enough to see Hudson at a previous benefit concert in 2018.

Sen. Bernie Sanders will also be honored with AHF’s Lifetime Achievement Award. “Forty years ago, AIDS was first recognized by the CDC, and 40 years later we have lost millions of lives. I'm committed to continue to do my part in bringing awareness to HIV/AIDS, and I encourage you to do the same." Sanders said.

DECEMBER 10 – JOHN LENNON TRIBUTE CONCERT –New York City

The Annual John Lennon Tribute

Singer Ani DiFranco is the honoree and will perform at the 41st annual John Lennon Tribute concert in December in New York City at the Peter Jay Sharpe Theater. Run by the nonprofit Theatre Within, the show benefits a songwriting program free to public schools and workshops for people with cancer and their family members.

Ani DiFranco is a longtime indie trailblazing artist that has forged her own way musically and in the business of music, that has many parallels to Lennon’s own spirit of musical independence. Other artists scheduled to appear include Bettye Lavette, Joan Osborne, KT Tunstall, and Nona Hendryx.

DECEMBER 13- JOHN HENRY’S FRIENDS BENEFIT –New York City

Steve Earle & The Dukes with Bruce Springsteen & More at The Town Hall (citywinery.com)

Just announced, Steve Earle’s seventh annual John Henry’s Friends Benefit Concert is coming to New York City’s Town Hall on December 13th. Presented with City Winery, the event features a lineup with Steve Earle & the Dukes as headliners as well as Bruce Springsteen, Rosanne Cash, Willie Nile, the Mastersons, and Matt Savage.

The concert will raise funds for the Keswell School benefiting children and young adults with autism. The educational program is close-to-home for Earle, whose son John Henry attends as a student.

“The John Henry’s Friends concerts are obviously a labor of love for myself as well as an expression of the generosity of all the performers who have suited up and showed up over the years,” Earle said of the event. “I’m especially grateful for this year’s new friends, my neighbor Willie Nile, my old friend Rosanne Cash and my hero Bruce Springsteen.”

Norwegian singer-songwriter Marie Ulven, or better known as her stagename Girl in Red (stylized as girl in red) will be doing a North American tour in 2022. The girl in red North American tour is selling quickly with several shows already selling out (even though we still have a full year to go!)

We briefly mentioned girl in red in March 2019, talking about the sold-out Conan Gray show (with girl in red as opener). Unfortunately, all live shows were cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.

In other girl in red news, she teamed up with The Trevor Project and Soundwaves Art for a special Pride campaign with a limited run of signed artwork.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of The White Stripes’ landmark third studio album White Blood Cells, the band will be releasing a newly expanded, remastered deluxe edition with bonus live performance (recorded at Gold Dollar on June 7, 2001).

I remember buying the album at my local Best Buy for $10. I actually enjoyed their previous releases, but they were still relatively unknown around this time. Little did I know that it would be this album that skyrocket The White Stripes to superstardom with that little song called “Seven Nation Army”. The song was so popular, that it would be played in football stadiums, where you can hear the entire crowd chanting and singing to the catchy notes.

This spring, The Glitch Mob’s underground remix of “Seven Nation Army” will be available as a 7-inch vinyl single on Friday, July 9, 2021. The standard black vinyl is available for pre-order now at Third Man Records website. A limited-edition red vinyl 7-inch will be available that same day exclusively at Third Man Records Nashville & Detroit, as well as at select independent record stores around the world.

Anyway, if that’s not enough, The White Stripes’ self-titled 1999 debut album and 2003’s Elephant will be available in HD Remaster. A special $7.99 limited time anniversary album sale on the entire White Stripes catalog has begun on Apple Music.

Feminist/activist/singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco is offering Revolutionary Love: Live at Big Blue, a full 95-minute concert documentary film from Ani, Terence Higgins and special guest Ivan Neville.

The Big Blue is basically Ani’s home and recording studio for the past decade, so she’s comfortable and at her best when playing the entire Revolutionary Love album live. Revolutionary Love: Live at Big Blue will be out July 9th, via Righteous Babe store.

In addition, Di Franco will back on tour beginning in August. Elizabeth Moen will support the August tour, Di Franco joins the Indigo Girls for four co-headline dates in September.

Robert Plant, the English musician best known as the lead singer and lyricist for Led Zeppelin, will be headlining the Orpheum Theatre this Thursday. Billed as Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, they’ll be playing tracks from his 11th solo album Carry Fire.

The upcoming show is long sold out (even at a higher-than-average pricing of $75 a ticket), but to justify the higher price, fans who bought a ticket online, were also given a copy of the new album.

Seth Lakeman, who contributes viola and fiddle to three tracks from Carry Fire, will open the show.

The last time we saw California neo-hippie band The Mowgli’s, they were co-headlining with Canadian Lights in 2015. We noted, “A spirited feel-good 65min. of hummable tunes followed, many culled from their latest, Kids in Love (Photo Finish/Island Records) which was released earlier this spring. ‘Love is Easy’ was dedicated to anyone “who’s had their heart smashed into a bazillion pieces” and co-vocalist Katie Jayne Earl took time out in the set to re-inforce the band’s mission of spreading love and kindness, and mentioned that all the band’s proceeds from ‘Room for All of Us’ were going to charity.”

Be sure to show up early to check out Mainland. The post-punk/pop taco-loving trio (singer Jordan Topf, guitarist Corey Mullee and bassist Alex Pitta) recently appeared on Billboard to talk about their “Hometown” release (Feb 16). This isn’t the first time Mainland opened for Mowgli’s, they were previously billed together in February 2016 (their first time in Minneapolis), and we said, “… plays a quick-paced, hooky hybrid of punk, garage, new wave, and high-energy alternative. The crowd appreciated the adrenalin-boosted tempo change and clapped along with the chorus of ‘Not as Cool as Me’ in appreciation.”

The wait is over! Los Angeles electro-noise trio Autolux has emerged from their 5-year slumber to bring us a new record. After teasing the hypnotic single “Soft Scene” back in November, the band will formally release Pussy’s Dead on April 1st (NO JOKE). It’ll be their third full length record and first for Danger Mouse’s Columbia Records imprint 30th Century Records. The second single “Brainwasher” is infectious as hell with a weird, dark groove, chilling falsetto vocals from Carla Azar and the stretching and sprawling dissonant guitar sounds that garnered the band such famous fans as Nine Inch Nail’s Trent Reznor. Reznor even handpicked Autolux back in 2006 to tour with NIN which is how I became acquainted with the band. (Thanks T-Rez)

Autolux recently performed a mashup rendition “Soft Scene” and “Listen to the Order” on Late Night with Stephen Colbert.

Also, Twin Cities fans take note: The band will be making a stop at the Triple Rock Social Club on April 10th. Multi-instrumentalist Marcel Rodríguez-López will open the show, performing under the moniker Eureka the Butcher. Recognize that last name? Marcel is the younger brother of Omar Rodríguez-López, guitarist for the Mars Volta and At the Drive-In.

Australia’s Atlas Genius is returning to Minneapolis at the Fine Line Music Café this Sunday, April 10th.

Opening will be Skylar Grey. The five-time Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter recently released a new song called “Moving Mountains”. The track was written by Grey and produced by Mike Elizondo and Mark Batson. The title and subject of the song was inspired by the mountains in Park City, Utah where Skylar resides.

Regarding the song, Grey had this to say, “Most of my life I’ve let ambition get in the way of happiness- too focused on the future to enjoy the moment. Now living in Utah, I’ve realized the importance of taking the time to sit back and appreciate a mountain view. It's amazing how just being present has the power to elevate your mood.”

Skylar Grey is currently in the studio working on the follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2013 album Don’t Look Down... so expect her to preview some new songs, including “Moving Mountains” on this tour.

Also on the bill is Secret Weapons. The group is really proud of their Haerts’ remix of their song “Something New.” Hear it on Soundcloud.
