BRIT Award-nominated UK-based singer/songwriter/producer and alt-grunge artist Artemas is touring America. The tour will stop by First Avenue, in Minneapolis, on June 20th, 2025.

Artemas’s RIAA-platinum certified breakout single, “i like the way you kiss me” have been streamed over 1.7B times, landing at #1 on the Billboard Global 200. His new single “i guess u never really cared about me” is out now.

Arooj Aftab, “the coolest rock star in the world right now ” by Uncut magazine, is touring in support of her forth solo album Night Reign (Verve), stopping by the Fine Line, in Minneapolis, on June 21, 2025. Hopefully, as seen in her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, that her band will includes Kaki King (guitar), Maeve Gilchrist (harp), Darian Donovan Thomas (violin), Zwelakhe-Duma Bell Le Pere (bass), Engin Kaan Günaydin (drums).

Love in Exile at The Cedar (10 Oct 2023)

We saw Arooj Aftab, as singer of Love in Exile, in Oct 2023 and wrote, “Love in Exile developed as an experiment through improvised, live shows. The best way to explain their sound is to see Ismaily on the moog & bass laying down the foundation, Iyer on the piano and synthesizer providing texture and Aftab’s voice ebbing and flowing like a breeze. Aftab said the tour so far has been “Great!” She said it almost as a question for they are on the vanguard and have run into questions where the brown people in the audience wonder why they don’t play brown music and the white people in the audience wonder why they don’t play more jazz. What everyone should appreciate is these participants are accomplished musicians, and like all great musicians, they are constantly looking to form something new, which they have done, receiving Pitchfork’s Best New Music stamp of approval and Rolling Stone describing their music “…akin to visiting some sort of beautiful, strange sonic landscape made from strings, keys, and breath.””

Jack’s Mannequin, the acclaimed alternative pop rock group, led by veteran indie-pop singer-songwriter-pianist Andrew McMahon is back to celebrate a 20th Anniversary tour. The tour will stop by the Palace Theatre, in St Paul, on June 21, 2025.

We saw Andrew McMahon in October 2015 and said, “The amount of talent Andrew McMahon has is unreal. He was the singer of Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, and most recently, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Each one of those bands is amazing but Something Corporate is, by far, my favorite group of his. I went into the show thinking I could sneak out early after a couple of songs. I mean, I love Andrew McMahon but his new music really doesn't do it for me. Then the set started and I caught myself singing along by the second song. This was weird, I really hadn't paid much attention to his new stuff other than the single on the radio. How did I know this song?!”
