This year’s Halloween is taking place on Thursday… There is a special A Nightmare on 7th St Halloween-themed show at the 7th Street on October 31, 2024. The show features five local bands: Gramma, she’s green, WHY NOT, Psylo, and berzica.
We actually randomly caught Why Not unannounced at the Turf Club show on Sep 2024 and saw she’s green in Sep 2023: “Local shoegazing band she’s green, featuring Zofia on vocals, Teddy on bass, Liam on guitars, Raines on guitars, and Kevin on drums, opened the show. Although, according to Zofia, the group is from the area, but it was their first time playing the Turf Club.”

This is the best Halloween party in town: First Avenue’s Annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest. Seriously, some of the best costumes can be found at this party. Over $1,000 in cash prizes.
Several DJs are on the bill: DJ Sophia Eris, dj izzie p, Michael Grey, and DJ McShellen.
We saw Sophia Eris in July 2024 and noted, “Sophia Eris with friends Makr and Jaki Blue (which I thought I heard that she said was her sister). It sounds like the first part of Eris’ set was purely DJing and dancing… but then she switched it up with rapping over beats from Makr. Highlight of their set was when Jaki Blue took over the vocals duties to sing “Quicksand”, a song co-written by Jaki Blue & Sophia Eris with production from Makr.”
