Minneapolis rock band
Semisonic, featuring Dan Wilson, John Munson and Jacob Slichter, headlining the Leinie Lodge Bandshell Stage, promoting their new album
Little Bit of Sun.
The band is famous for their “Closing Time”, and it’s the perfect song to close out the
Minnesota State Fair.
Dan Wilson at Fitzgerald Theater (22 Sept 2017)

We saw Dan Wilson in
Sep 2017, we said, “As the stage changed in the 1,000 seat theater, a game board-like hand-drawn image (called an illuminated setlist) gave the audience the musical road map that Dan Wilson would follow during his almost two-hour headlining set. On this tour, he’s managed to tie together three of his biggest passions into a cohesive show- the composing of words and music, and his visual doodles and hand-rendered calligraphy.”

We saw Grammer at the Wrong Party in
Aug 2013, we said, “Andy Grammer wasted no time, kicking off with a poetry slam about who he was and more importantly what he wasn’t, delivering great lines like: “Premarital sex and alcohol are not my jam. And I try not to look mysterious with a Diet Coke in my hand.” Grammer’s music of positive vibes appeals to a wide range of people and it showed in the crowd. It is not every day you see a teenage daughter and her father mouthing the lyrics to the same song during a concert. But Grammer has this effect on old and young with everyone dancing to “Damn It Feels Good to Be Me” and “Good to Be Alive”.”

at Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater
bryantlakebowl.com
American singer/songwriter, author and storyteller,
Shannon Curtis, will be playing the Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater on September 7, 2024.
We’ve previously seen shows at the Bryant Lake Bowl and can tell you that this is a very small venue. I recommend getting a seat away from the entry door, as you can hear very loud crashing pins from the bowlers. It’s not a great experience, especially for a quiet performance.
It looks like for the Saturday show, the venue will have a cook and a full restaurant and bar service… get there early and order a meal.
