The thing is, and I’ll be blunt… it’s a bit of a mess.
Most of the toys (and other things) are in the center of the room, in plastic bins. You just have to dig through so much stuff… mostly junk to me. Once in a while, you do find that gem, but often the price (at least to me) is disagreeable. For example, that Worlds’ Finest two-pack of Huntress is Power Girl was way overprice at $80. There’s no way that should be at that price, not even brand new.
There are comic books in one area against the wall, there are sports cards and memorabilia in another wall. High price items are on another wall. Oh, there’s records too, which was kind of cool, as it did bring in some music fans who was slowly going through the vinyl covers.
There’s lots of stuff I wanted, but most of the prices are well above what I was willing to pay for it. I guess I more interested in getting deals. I did end up buying a few things, that Raven for $25, I thought was a fair price considering that was the retail price when it was originally sold in 2011 (which I never saw in stores).
I also bought the original Medieval Spawn for $5, because the packaging was damaged… but the comic book, which came with it, was still intact, but in poor condition. Apparently, those old McFarlane toys are completely worthless.
I think next year, when I come back, I’ll be a little more prepared for their Warehouse sale. First of all, bring enough cash, as that is the only payments they will accept. Second, take your time to go through each bin, I know if I went slower, I would probably find more items for my collection. Third, some items are priced differently, depending on condition, so be on the look out for the same item.
Note: The Warehouse sale offers collectibles that are not found in their physical store location, also in Hopkins. The other thing is that there was a 25% off discount for all things in their warehouse sale.
