According to Rose, this was his first headline tour, and he said it was such “a long time coming and I am SO EXCITED!!!!” When he mentioned it was a long time coming, it’s because he started his music career when he was very young, gaining attention when he was 21 years old in Perth, Australia. That was five years ago, and, now you can see why he was itching to headline his own shows.
Blake, jokingly said that all his songs were about heartbreaks, which the audience of mostly teenage girls already knew.
Folk singer-songwriter Max McNown opened the show, playing tracks from his debut album Wandering, which came out April 12 on Fugitive Recordings. He previously opened for Americana folk-rock band Briscoe last month (March).
Joining McNown on stage was guitarist, banjo player, and harmonica player, Ethan Luck. Luck is documenting his time on tour entitled “On The Road With Max McNown” on YouTube.
The two seems to be enjoying touring life, as they explore America on tour.
My favorite song on their set was a cover of Tyler Childers’ “Lady May”.
