While it’s not cheap, for a tiny screen… I felt the $140 asking price was fair. It comes with everything you’ll need to mount inside a computer, complete with the free software to run the monitor. You have to download the software, I feel like they could have just included it on the SD card that came with the monitor.
Surely, all that stuff isn’t worth $140, but I would argue that it is. You see, in 2021, I upgraded my old computer with a small display, using USB to power the monitor and HDMI for video input. It was a nightmare to setup, and you had to pay for the AIDA64 software at $60 (but you can pay $219.90 for the best version of the software). If I went back in time, I would have gone with the WOWNOVA method as it is the best path.
Anyway, the advantage of the new USB display is that once you run the software, you can close it and the monitor will still work. That’s because the theme, the artwork, the video files are all stored on a 32GB SD card (which came included in the package). There’s no system resources being used, or at least very little, since the computer is still sending data to the monitor to update.
The package includes a USB-C to USB and 9-pin cable (this is used if you choose to install it inside the computer case). I’m using the monitor as an external USB. It sits under my main Alienware monitor. At a quick glance, I can see CPU temperature/usage, download speed, the date, the time, and the current weather (which it’s telling me that there’s snow flurry going on outside now). It’s very useful to me… I wish the software would allow for more information - such as headline news or maybe a photo slideshow.
So far, I’m pretty happy with my purchase. I’m working on my own Fallout Theme, and trying to figure out what to put on the third part of the screen. At the moment, I put up the “Please Stand By” Fallout screen, but eventually, I will figure out what needs to go there.

If you aren’t creative, the “UsbMonitorS” software does come with pre-built themes that you can use. Some are in Chinese, but obviously you can edit it for English. Some of the themes I liked was the Cyberpunk theme and the World-Spinning theme.
