Games We Play Setlist Tour Dates Read More

Emmyn also mentioned that his health and overall well-being was affected, and he just need time to make his first album to be “100% Emmyn.”
The show, or at least this national tour, is very special to Emmyn because when he was 14 years old, he wanted to go on tour so badly that he made a list of cities and venues that he wanted to play. Now, other people have booked his shows, and he couldn’t be happier to learn that he’s already sold out seven shows, including Minneapolis and Chicago. What people love about Emmyn is that he’s funny, and he’ll say what he thinks and is personally honest with his fans. That honesty also translates to his songs, mostly talking about what a “loser” he is or how “cool” girls like to party while he just wants to play Atari. Subjects that fans can relate to and embraced both Emmyn and his music.
As Emmyn promised, he gave it all he’s got for his headlining show. He’s full of energy, he’s jumping around, he’s singing his heart out. Due to the fact that he’s only got one album, between each song he had to vamp for time and talk about what’s on his mind. Mostly about how they “broke” something like the computer or the guitar or something. They’ve been breaking things all week, he said.
Despite the broken issues, no one at the show minded and they all seemed to be having a good time singing along to Games We Play songs.
Opening up the show was New York’s Zoe Ko. It’s hard to be first band on the bill, and especially tough to start early at 6:30pm.
The thing with Ko was her crazy fashion: a spiked bra (back off!) over a wife beater (duuude) with an oversized tie (it’s all business!). She was a lot of fun. I liked her dressing up as a party goer (wig, furry jacket, and purse) for her song “Dirt” and had the audience helping her sing on “Lovesick in Public” as her set closer.
House Parties was up next. Personally, I feel the band name is so common that if you search “House Parties in Minneapolis”, you’re not going to get what you want.
The trio previously played the Garage in Burnsville, Minnesota, in October 19, 2023, as part of the Can't Swim and Belmont co-headlining tour… only a mere five months ago.
They played their first song “Hindsight”, as well as covered a few songs, including Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.
