UPDATE: Unfortunately the in-store we had scheduled with Rod and Colin of The Zombies has been cancelled.

Here's a statement from the band: In light of the health scare within the band on the opening night of our tour, we regret to inform you that the Electric Fetus in-store is cancelled.

While we don't want to disappoint anyone, especially the fans, we have to scale back some of the band’s commitments and prioritize their health and safety. We please ask for your understanding and support at this time.

Team Zombies

The Zombies, prior to appearing at their headlining show at the Fitzgerald Theater, Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, of the Zombies, will be making a stop at the Electric Fetus in Minneapolis to do a brief acoustic performance and signing of their latest album Different Game. While the signing is free, it is limited to capacity of 200 persons, also, there are only 75 signing passes… so if you really want to see this, I suggest show up early. The appearance is at noon.

The Zombies (17 April 2017)

We’ve been writing about Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, The Zombies for a while now, having seen them in 2017. The band is famous for their hits, “She’s Not There”, “Time of the Season”, and others.

It looks like the band is back in the Minneapolis/St Paul area, to headline the Fitzgerald Theater, on October 13, 2023, to support their new album Different Game (Cooking Vinyl Records). The new album is the followup to Still Got That Hunger.

Nashville-born/Alabama-raised vocalist and songwriter Jessie Murph is on a massive headlining The Cowboys and Angels global tour. The young 18-year-old singer has sold over 60,000 tickets sold in the US and Canada, alone! She’s even sold out the upcoming First Avenue mainroom in Minneapolis, this October 13.

We saw Murph on her first tour in March 2023 and wrote, “Jessie Murph has a powerful and dynamic voice, but what is surprising is the frank and sometimes explicit lyrics. Should it be, she has asked? After all, male rappers can lace their lyrics with profanity? Why not a high school girl from a small town in Alabama? Jessie is making a maiden tour with her debut album Drowning. On the cover is Jessie behind a fishbowl with one omniscient eye looking at those who are looking at her as if to say: “I can see right through you.””

Miami indie rockers Mustard Service is touring in support of Variety Pack (ONErpm Records).

Mustard Service explained the album title, “This album is a collection of what we believe to be vastly different genres of music written over the span of the last 3 years, hence the name ‘Variety Pack.’ It also showcases songwriting by members of the band other than Marco [Rivero], who before this album was the sole songwriter for the band….”
