We were supposed to see psychedelic rockers The Brian Jonestown Massacre tonight, at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis… unfortunately due to illness we can’t make it out.
Originally when our good friend and concert goer, Jennifer Juniper, mentioned she was also seeing BJM, the original idea was to use her photo and comment at her show in Grand Rapids as a bonus section to our Minneapolis review.
Jennifer remembers BJM fondly, because she remembered how great they were back in the old days at Cafe Bleu (a nightclub in California playing lots of indie music).
Unfortunately, none of her phone photos turned out great, because “they did not use a spotlight at all.”
She described the photo as Anton in the hat and Joel on the tambourine. She also mentioned that Anton “got pissy during the show and started on a rant about the crew at the venue. Hopefully he is in a better mood tonight.”
