From the ashes of Bauhaus, came Love and Rockets (named after the Hernandez brothers’ comic book series)… the groundbreaking trio of Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins.

I supposed after the sudden cancellation of Bauhaus Reunion 2022 shows, due to Peter Murphy entering a rehabilitation facility for health and well-being… the rest of the band decided maybe to continue as Love and Rockets.

El Paso’s Sparta, featuring Jim Ward, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their critically acclaimed debut album Wiretap Scars with a tour of the U.S. The tour stops by the Fine Line Music Café in Minneapolis on June 6th, 2023.
If you didn’t know, Sparta, was formed after popular At the Drive-In band broke up. We saw the band in Nov 2000 and noted, “As for At the Drive-In, this was a pretty high energy show... possibly because the day before, they took a break in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Guitarist Omar Rodríguez (or Jim Ward? I can never tell the difference in afro) was all over the place, often climbing on speakers and jumping off. His hair was pretty outrageous too.”
Currently, Sparta is Jim Ward and Matt Miller, with drummer Neil Hennessy on tour.
Geoff Rickly (of Thursday) and Zeta to open.
