Electropop act St. Lucia is currently touring in support of their new LP Utopia. The husband/wife duo first tour in Jan 2014 with their debut album When the Night (Neon Gold/Columbia): “South Africa by-way-of Brooklyn artist St. Lucia brings worldly beat with 80s influences to the Fine Line Music Café, in a show that was upgraded from the smaller 7th St. Entry. Promoting their first full-length, When the Night (Neon Gold/Columbia), St. Lucia (aka Jean-Philip Grobler) brings a full band and energetic performance with recent setlists showing they even sneak in a Chaka Khan cover version. LA trio Sir Sly opens the show, promoting their latest EP, Ghost (Neon Gold/Columbia) with their “monochromatic blend of vigilante pop”, which has been described as reminiscent of a “chillwave Coldplay”.”

Judah & the Lion is touring in support of Revival (Cletus the Van Records / Virgin Music).
We just the band on Sep 2022 and wrote, “Judah and the Lion are going through a Revival-- Not just the title of their fourth studio album (released in June on Cletus the Van Records), but professionally (with the departure of co-founding member Nate Zuercher at the end of last year) and personally as well, and through all the introspection the pandemic allowed us. The core lineup is down to the duo of Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald and their renewed musical outlook is one of hope, happiness, and an innocence that the band began with, a decade ago.”

at Turf Club

Canada’s Preoccupations is back on tour in support of their fourth studio album Arrangements.
On the album release, vocalist Matt Flegel says “I’m certain that I’ve been writing about the same bleak things over and over again throughout the lifespan of Preoccupations. This time around the themes of isolation, anxiety, trepidation, imminent self-annihilation, fear of totalitarianism, and general malaise unintentionally all feel a little more relevant than they have in the past. I guess that’s not a great sign, but I think we’ve taken this culmination of dark things, and turned it into something that can happily be listened to loudly, and that is maybe even…fun?”
Cindy Lee to open.
