Calexico is on tour in support of their 10th studio album, El Mirador. Calexico’s Joey Burns explains, “ ‘El Mirador’ is dedicated to family, friends and community. The pandemic highlighted all the ways we need each other, and music happens to be my way of building bridges and encouraging inclusiveness and positivity. That comes along with sadness and melancholy, but music sparks change and movement.”
We saw Calexico at Festival Palomino in Sep 2015 and said, “A refreshing bit of Tex-Mex indie rock was served up midday by Tucson, AZ Calexico, spotlighting songs from their newest release, Edge of the Sun (ANTI-/Epitaph Records), and featured seven band members including upright bass and a horn section. 1998’s ‘Frontera’ began their set on a somewhat somber note, but things quickly picked up with ‘Falling From the Sky’, the new album’s opener, and one of three new songs played.”

Perth’s Psychedelic Porn Crumpets is on tour for their fifth studio album Night Gnomes (Marathon Artists / What Reality? Records).
Songwriter Jack McEwan said, “Night Gnomes is a bit darker than the other four releases. I don’t know if that’s the bi-product of being locked inside Western Australia for the past two years but it’s definitely given us a lot of time to think. I reckon this record has a bit more of a KID A/Amnesiac vibe to it, it’s a bit weirder, a little left of the ‘psych/pop’ world we’ve been tagged under. I kinda like that though, forever expanding, variety is the spice of life! It starts moody, talks of break ups and new relationships; gets kinda chirpy in the middle and then ends really beautifully, a bit like Jurassic Park 3. I reckon Spielberg might actually rate it, he’s a mixture of a bag, ain’t he.”
We saw them in Sept 2019 and wrote, “Perth, Australia’s Psychedelic Porn Crumpets closed out the show. If you’re a fan of Tame Impala and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard , you’ll really like PPC. The band playfully started their set with the unique guitar riffs from Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water”, before kicking into “Surf's Up”. ”

Global phenomenon Bring Me The Horizon is on tour… stopping by the Armory in Minneapolis on Wednesday, October 12th.
The band recently released “sTraNgeRs”, which front person Oli Sykes explains “The song came out of a long writing trip in LA, and as soon as the lyric ‘we’re just a room full of strangers’ came it took on such a deeper double meaning - how it would feel to be performing it live as that’s what it is.. all strangers connecting on this mad level.. and that it was like rehab.. Coming out of lockdown and the pandemic, everyone is recovering from something and I’m so aware that so many people struggle daily with differing traumas, and just wanted to stress that they’re not in this alone… and we’re a community here to help each other”.
Support will come from Knocked Loose, grandson, and Siiickbrain.
