Cults
with Reptaliens
at Turf Club
first-avenue.com
We last saw New York’s Cults (not to be confused with The Cult) in November 2013 and wrote, “The last time we saw Cults, they admitted that playing First Avenue was one of the scariest thing they've ever done. The band is back, and this time, showing that they are more confident in their show! Gone are singing in darkness, this time, Cults used lots of light effects as well as new background projection. I have to say, they are certain more entertaining this time around.”
It looks like the duo (Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion) is back on tour, stopping by the Turf Club in St Paul this August 28th.

We saw White Hills in Aug 2013 and wrote, “White Hills, a rock band from New York with mostly guitarists Dave W. singing, but occasionally their bassist, Ego Sensation, would take over lead vocals. The two seemed really pleased at the large group of fans who showed up early to catch their set.”

Calum Scott
at Varsity Theater
livenation.com
Calum Scott will stop by the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis this August 30 in support of his sophomore album Bridges. The multi-platinum-selling singer/songwriter is excited about touring, saying, “From touring all over the world and seeing how people have been affected by my music, I realized how important it is for me to keep writing from a very honest place. I’ve learned that I can take the painful things I’ve been through, then create something beautiful that helps people to process their feelings, to take action, to become more compassionate and understanding of others, or just to escape from the world for a while. For me this new album is about sharing things I’ve never shared before and taking leaps that sometimes feel terrifying, with the hope that it will bring some inspiration or reassurance to anyone who needs it.”
