We just saw Fitz and the Tantrums at Grinders KC in June 2022, and described the show as, “Arms swayed back and forth during 2013’s “6AM” while clouds gathered above and the sky gradually grayed, providing relief from the heat, but also a precursor to oncoming weather changes. Singer Scaggs said that “I Need Help” from the newest record had meant even more to her during the pandemic, helping her to focus on her own mental health and hopefully showing people that they are not alone in any day-to-day struggles.”

Andy Grammer will be co-headlining the show. He is known for his chart-topping hits, like “Honey I’m Good” and “Keep Your Head Up.”

The Decemberists are a great band. I once described their songs were all written by Colin Meloy in candle light and with a quill pen.

I’ll never forget seeing The Decemberists in March 2015 and they played my favorite Decemberists song “The Mariner's Revenge Song”, complete with a giant cardboard whale. It was simply an unforgettable moment.

Jake Xerxes Fussell to open. We last mentioned that he opened up for Magnetic Fields in April 2022. Fussell’s fourth and latest album, Good and Green Again is out now via Paradise of Bachelors.
