Ty Segall & Freedom Band

Did I tell you that I was once stuck on a boat with Ty Segall? Yes, it’s true. Now the man with the guitar is returning to Minneapolis with his new band, billed as Ty Segall & Freedom Band. Their new album is called Hello, Hi, available now on Drag City.
We last saw Ty as Ty Segall & the Muggers in Mar 2016 and wrote, “Before we talk about Ty’s exceptional musical output, we have talk about his all-star supergroup The Muggers. As we previously mentioned, his band consisted of King Tuff’s Kyle Thomas (dressed in an orange jumpsuit), singer/guitarist Mikal Cronin, Cairo Gang’s Emmett Kelly, and Wand’s Cory Hanson and Evan Burrows.”

American rock group formed Puscifer (led by Tool/A Perfect Circle’s Maynard James Keenan) is returning to the Twin Cities this July 3rd. The group latest release is called Existential Reckoning.
We saw Puscifer in Mar 2016 and wrote, “Lights then went dark, the wrestling ring moved back and musician platforms moved quickly into place as Puscifer took to the stage for their headlining set, after almost no downtime in-between. As the crew fine-tuned everything, a video warning from side stage monitors by one Major Douche (one of Keenan’s many personas) cautioned against any cameras or cellphone use, which was also reinforced by the tighter-than-normal security.”
Minneapolis noise rap duo Moodie Black to open. They are signed to renown indie hip-hop label, Fake Four Inc.
