The latest Humble Bundle’s “The Stand With Ukraine” will donate 100% of their bundle to Ukraine humanitarian relief efforts. Even though there are some great games on their list, such as Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Fable Anniversary, Back 4 Blood, and Metro Exodus… but unfortunately, I already own quite a few games on their list mostly thanks to subscribing to Humble Bundle for a year. Normally, I wouldn’t mind own extra (unused) game codes, but the minimum buy-in for this charity bundle is $40, which is not a small amount.
After reviewing everything in this bundle, I feel like I will not use 90% of this package, which includes 3D printables (I don’t own a 3D printer), RPG rulebooks (Pathfinder Second Edition and Starfinder Core Rulebook), and lots of small indie games (which I know I won’t install or try out).
The only game I was interested in this list (that I don’t own), is for Back 4 Blood. Paying $40 for this, even for charity, seems like not a great deal for me. Since the game is actually available on Xbox’s Game Pass, I technically “own” this (as long as I pay for the subscription).
I’ll go ahead and download the game on my Xbox, and will play with it. If I love it, I will go back and buy the Humble Bundle.
The bundle had already raised over 8 million dollars.
Details of the The Stand With Ukraine bundle:
We’ve joined forces with game creators, book publishers, and software makers around the globe for a bundle featuring over 120 pieces of content worth over $2,500.
The Bundle features over 120 pieces of content worth over $2,500, including:
100% donated to Razom for Ukraine, International Rescue Committee (IRC), International Medical Corps, and Direct Relief.
