Self-proclaimed best rapper, Aaron Cartier, opened the show, with his catchy song “F*** It I Do What I Want”. One thing is certain about Cartier’s brief 25-min set, is that he certainly knows how to command the audience, and that he’s very comfortable being on stage… as if he was born to perform.
Cartier ended his set with “GETITRIGHTBACK” and “You Too”

The popular young duo were still working out the kinks of their tour for 1000 Gecs and 1000 Gecs and the Tree of Clues. Hearing the two talk on stage, apparently they are very close to a new album, even playing some new (not officially named) tracks live. One of those songs, as written on their setlist, “Gamelan Interlude”, is an instrumental song with the two of them hitting a xylophone.
This this was an all-ages show, the band had to end their set before curfew.
Love them or hate them, you can’t ignore that this is the future of music, seeing so many young video gamers out in force, knowing, obsessing over their songs. So far, from what I’ve read, the 10,000 gecs Tour is sold out.
