Rising alt-rock band Slothrust released their new single “The Next Curse” from their upcoming album Parallel Timeline. What is special about the single is that it features Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Parallel Timeline will be released on September 10th via Dangerbird Records.
Talking about the song, bandleader Leah Wellbaum said, “ “The Next Curse” is a song about how even in a time when we see our planet on fire and flooding, we still don’t take the time we need to heal ourselves. These circumstances begin to mirror each other in a self-perpetuating cycle. It is my desire that humans as a species work toward less violence and more compassion for one another despite differences. I hope we can show this kindness to planet Earth as well and treat her like the magical, generous being she is.”

New Zealand’s Ladyhawke (‘Pip’ Brown) recently dropped her single “Think About You”… the song was taken from her forthcoming fourth studio album Time Flies, available October 8th, 2021, via BMG Australia.
If you follow our website, you know that we’ve been in love with Ladyhawke since 2008, putting her song “Dusk Til Dawn” our top picks for that year.
If “Think About You” is any indication, it should follow her knack for writing incredibly catchy pop songs. Already, her collaboration with Broods, for “Guilty Love”, had over 1 million streams and nominated for a 2021 Silver Scroll Award.
“Think About You” is a collaboration with Josh Fountain. Pip adds, “After we wrote the music, I came up with the idea to write the song about a fantasy infatuation that miraculously gets reciprocated. Whether it’s real or in the subject’s imagination is left up to the person listening!! I think the dictionary meaning of the word “limerence” describes this best: Limerence - noun: the state of being obsessively infatuated with someone, usually accompanied by delusions of or a desire for an intense romantic relationship with that person.”
LADYHAWKE Tour Dates:
Thurs 28 Oct – Miami Marketta, Gold Coast
Fri 29 Oct – Factory Theatre, Sydney (SOLD OUT)
Sun 31 Oct – Factory Theatre, Sydney (NEW SHOW)
Thurs 4 Nov – Corner Hotel, Melbourne (SOLD OUT)
Fri 5 Nov – Corner Hotel, Melbourne (SOLD OUT)
