Cope, aka Clarence Greenwood, is probably best known for 2004 radio hit, “Bullet and a Target” but has been making music since 1990 and returned this April with new record, The Pull of Niagara Falls, an acoustic-based collection of previously unreleased songs, many culled from his unreleased Shotguns LP.
Virus protocols such as recommending masks and distancing and available sanitizer were in place, though the mostly younger crowd of recently returning college students seemed more concerned with some kind of return to normal, and having a good time.
A VIP reserved section was available up front ($75) with early entry and open bar, and the official afterparty followed at nearby Lucia, featured the Lucas Parker Band w/ Jessica Paige. The Live on Mass series continues on Saturday September 4th with performances from Kolby Cooper and opener Corey Kent.
Citizen Cope continues on the road through August.
