If you haven’t heard, rapper / producer / beatboxer
Biz Markie passed away on Friday at the age of 57.
Rolling Stone wrote, “While a cause of death was not revealed, the rapper had struggled in recent years with health issues related to his decade-long battle with Type 2 diabetes.”
Although he suffered from poor health, based on his music and in past interviews, “The Clown Prince of Hip-Hop” seemed like a pretty fun guy to hang around with.
Even if you don’t care about Biz Markie, it’s hard to ignore the impact of his hit song, “Just a Friend”… as demonstrated in hearing

Believe me, it’s pretty amazing to hear the entire audience knowing all the words and singing back.
